Digital Twin Simulation

A model of the organization's systems, dependencies, and field operations is used to test a decision before it is executed for real.

What it is

The method in plain terms

The twin holds systems, accounts, dependencies, program functions, and the people who rely on them. A candidate action, such as isolating a device or revoking a session, is executed against the twin first.

The simulation returns what would break, who would be affected, how long recovery would take, and which alternative action achieves the same containment with less mission damage.

Why it matters

In nonprofit work, containment is not free. Disabling an account can cut a field team off from the coordination channel that keeps them safe. Simulation makes that consequence visible before the action rather than after it.

Limits

Where the method stops

  • Simulation output is decision support and is never presented as a guarantee of outcome
  • Twin accuracy depends on the completeness of the dependency information the organization provides
